Wenqi Mo is a Master’s student in Computer Science (Data Science) at Leiden University, supervised by Dr. Matthijs van Leeuwen. Her research centers on MDL-based explainable anomaly detection for event sequences, with a focus on learning compact patterns of normal behaviour from e-commerce user activity logs and related sequential data. She studies how deviations from these patterns can be used to detect anomalous behaviour and provide concise, human-interpretable explanations that support reliable decision-making in applications such as fraud detection and system monitoring.
