Timo is a Master’s student in Computer Science, specialising in Artificial Intelligence, at Leiden University. Currently, he is working on his Master’s thesis under the supervision of dr. Matthijs van Leeuwen and Zhong Li. His Master's thesis is part of the DIGITAL TWIN programme, project 4.

In this project, he is working in collaboration with ASML and VDL-ETG to improve the availability of wafer handler-robots by employing anomaly prediction. He transforms extensive logging data into graphs, by leveraging the capabilities of Graph Neural Networks he tries to predict if preventive maintenance should be done. The method used is developed with in the EDA group. The primary objective is to minimize unscheduled downtimes, leading to significant cost savings and higher productivity.

Before joining Leiden University, Timo earned a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis & Management at the Technical University Delft. During his honours program, he had the opportunity to explore his interests in computer science, eventually leading to his transition into the field. Upon completing his thesis, Timo aspires to synergize the knowledge gained from both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees, with plans to pursue a Ph.D. or explore opportunities in the industry.
